  1. I use plastic bags for water proof insulation, in between 2 pairs of socks (liner socks, plastic bag, wool socks). For winter hiking, snow-shoeing, or cross-country skiing, they do an excellent job of keeping feet warm and dry. I prefer the bags my newspaper is delivered in, because they’re tubular in shape. However, any bag will help!

  2. I love to reuse items to make something new. I have a bag/purse made out of plastic bags. Is there a pattern some place for the sandals in this article? I would love to have it.

  3. Reuse those plastic bags every time you go shopping. Save an empty Kleenex box and literally stuff the plastic bags into the box. Keep it in the car and take it into the store for you shopping trip. This tip is great for storing the bags while at home, in the car, on the boat or in your trailer where storage space is at a premium.
